“Now the USA is talking about introducing elements of socialism..” (“Talking”? They’ve been “doing” since January 20th..) “..no longer boss of the world.” Pravda even felt compelled to ridicule Rodham and her idiotic “prop” from early March by saying “And now it’s America’s turn to offer Russia to push the reset button..” Carterism redux..

I personally resent that you go around the world apologizing for the United States telling Europeans that we are arrogant and do not care about their status in the world. Sir, what do you think the First World War and the Second World War were all about if not the consideration of the peoples of Europe? Are you brain dead? What do you think the Marshall Plan was all about?
Do you not understand or know the history of the 20th century? Where do you get off telling a Muslim country that the United States does not consider itself a Christian country? Have you not read the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution of the United States? This country was founded on 20 Judeo-Christian ethics and the principles governing this country, at least until you came along, come directly from this heritage. Do you not understand this?
Your bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia is an affront to all Americans.. Our President does not bow down to anyone, let alone the king of Saudi Arabia. You are so self-righteously offended by the big bankers and the American automobile manufacturers yet do nothing about the real thieves in this situation, Mr. Dodd, Mr. Frank, Franklin Raines, Jamie Gorelic, the Fannie Mae bonuses, and the Freddie Mac bonuses. What do you intend to do about them? Anything? I seriously doubt it.
What about the U.S. House members passing out $9.1 million in bonuses to their staff members — on top of the $2.5 million in automatic pay raises that lawmakers gave themselves? I understand the average House aide got a 17% bonus. I took a 5% cut in my pay to save jobs with my employer.
You haven’t said anything about that. Who authorized that? I surely didn’t! Executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will be receiving $210 million in bonuses over an eighteen-month period, that’s $45 million more than the AIG bonuses. In fact, Fannie and Freddie executives have already been awarded $51 million; not a bad take. Who authorized that and why haven’t you expressed your outrage at this group who are largely responsible for the economic mess we have right now.
I resent that you take me and my fellow citizens as brain-dead and not caring about what you idiots do. We are watching what you are doing and we are getting increasingly fed up with all of you. I also want you to know that I personally find just about everything you do and say to be offensive to every one of my sensibilities. I promise you that I will work tirelessly to see that you do not get a chance to spend two terms destroying my beautiful country.

I had said before in TFD, “Advancing Opportunity Elsewhere” that I believe Obama doesn’t see himself as President of the United States, rather that that is just a “title” of an office on a way to his ultimate end vision. I think his end vision is that where he sees himself as the ruler of the world, of sorts. In where he orchestrates and controls the agendas of whatever countries are of interest to him.

Like I said, I agree wholeheartedly with the letter! But it seems that Ms. Lyday didn’t write it.
After JJ’s question I did a little checking on Snopes just to find out if she’d had many hits on the letter. I found on Snopes that the letter had originally started circulating in May, 2009 by a fourth grade teacher in Hillsboro, MO. However, Ms. Lyday has disclaimed being it’s author, her name merely became attached to it when she forwarded it to others.
An earlier version circulated in mid-April, 2009 credits authorship to one Franklin T. Bell. That letter can be found on http://www.redpills.org/?p=4023
There was no information about the amount or type of responses to either person.

The intro to the letter on Red Pills said that they had received permission from Mr. Bell to print his letter but remove his telephone number from it. Seems he was getting so many calls in support, i.e., that “it was getting out of hand.” It went on to say that if you’d like to contact Mr. Bell please do so by snail mail at the address given on the original e-mail. Mr. Obama:
I’ve been thinking about your falling ratings and I have a suggestion for you. You know that your approval ratings are falling faster than just about any other politician in recent history. You have said on a number of occasions that you are more interested in the “good of the country” than your likelihood to be a two-term President; that the things you need to get done for the country are more important than anything else.
Let me suggest that you are on track to be a one-term President. No doubt about it but think about your legacy. Surely you don’t want to be thought of as mediocre and inept and foolish like Mr. James Carter do you? Think about how Mr. Carter just goes on and on making a jerk out of himself. If he wasn’t so totally out there, I would be sure that his anti-Semitism and efforts to undermine the foreign policy of the USA were part of his plan. He just can’t be that against the USA so he must be pretty dumb. Really not good company for you to be in, thinking about your legacy as a single-term President.
I have an idea for you. Just think about it. You might find it has some merit. You are an excellent speaker. You obviously are very comfortable in front of the mike and cameras, so give this a try. Request that every member of the media, television (broadcast and cable), the radio media outlets, the print media (newspapers and magazines), the internet (right and left leaning elements) please cover your next address to the nation. I think this could be the most important of your speeches.
You should begin by telling everyone that all the talk about racism has to stop, that it has no place in your view of government and that you understand that the use of the “r” word is nothing more than a convenient way of avoiding the real issues. This would be the directive of a true leader.
You should express your concern and disappointment that most members of the media covered the rally in Washington on September 12, 2009 very poorly. You should acknowledge that a significant portion of the voting population of the country has serious concerns about your current view of how the country should proceed not just with health care reform but with your fundamental approach to governing. This was clearly evidenced by the attendees on Saturday 12, 2009.
You should say that you are telling all legislators to throw out everything they are presently doing, agree to work together in a true bi-partisan way and sit down with one another and decide how they are going to get along. You should tell them to leave all other legislation alone for one month to give everyone some breathing room. This would be the directive of a true leader.
You should tell all politicians to remember that they work for the people, not the other way around. You should tell them that they are to hold “town hall” meetings, to listen to their constituents, to show them proper respect and to answer all of their questions honestly. This would be an action of a true leader.
You should apologize for not following through on your promise to be the most transparent administration by not posting all legislation for all of us to read before you sign it and be sure that it never happens again. You should apologize for signing off on all the pork in the spending bill after promising that you wouldn’t do that and be sure that it never happens again. You should apologize for hiring all the old Clintonistas and lobbyists you did when you promised not to be run by lobbyists and to bring a new kind of government to Washington.
You should apologize for all of the socialist / communist leaning people you have appointed and ask them to resign immediately. I won’t name them, you know who they are. This would be an action of a true leader.
You should apologize for the federal government’s ongoing failure to adequately secure our international border with Mexico particularly in remote areas where farmers and ranchers have complained of being overrun by smugglers and gangs from Mexico in numbers that also overwhelm local law enforcement and border patrol officers. This would be the action of a true leader.
You should acknowledge that the concept of “free speech” is fundamental to every American and is probably the single idea that sets us apart from other societies and what make ours so great. You need to apologize for all of the attempts to control this free speech on radio, television and the internet and you need to vow to the American people that there will be no effort to control their rights to speak out about any topic or any public official so long as it is done respectfully. This would make you a true leader.
You should apologize for promising to close the detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba acknowledging that: 1) It is isolated from civilian populations and it is impossible to escape from. 2) Moving these detainees is both cost-prohibitive to our government and physically dangerous to our citizenry. 3) Moving these detainees into the U.S. court system would not be a very effective strategy in fighting and punishing the terrorists. 4) Moving these detainees into the U.S. criminal court system is historically unprecedented. The Constitution, the court system it has created, and the individual rights it protects, are specifically intended for the benefit of American citizens and/or legal residents, not fighters captured in a foreign territory. This would show true leadership.
You should apologize for ACORN. In addition to its problems with housing funds and offering assistance to prostitutes, ACORN is under investigation for voter registration fraud in several swing states, including Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, and Missouri, and has a long history of such fraud in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Washington, Michigan, Wisconsin, and New Mexico. You should admit that this organization should never have been associated with the governance of America in any way shape or form and promise that they will get no additional funds from the American taxpayer. This would show true leadership.
Above all, you should not be the least little bit defensive. You cannot defend the indefensible. It only makes you look insincere. You should not blame Mr. Bush for your problems. You knew what they were when you decided to run and you chose to run anyway. If you didn’t know how bad it was, you should have. In any case, they are your problems now. Stop whining about it. You don’t look good doing it and we don’t like it.
Mr. Obama, when you give this speech you should memorize it word for word. Don’t take a chance on the teleprompter failing you. It will only make you look insincere once again.
You know, Mr. Obama, if you would just take me up on my suggestion, you might be very surprised at how much support you would get and your ratings would rise sky-high. It would show that you do understand that you are the President of all Americans. Right now you are the President of only 52.7% of Americans (a number that is going down hourly) and if you continue, you and Mr. Carter will be contributing no more than a couple of houses a year to Habitat for Humanity.
I mean no disrespect, sir, but you should clearly understand that most of people of this country are not going to tolerate what you are trying to do to our country and we will not let you get away with it. Stop your ill-fated attempts to change the country and help us all make America better than it already is.
We need a leader, Mr. Obama. We will support any leader that we can respect and believe in. Right now you are not that person. We also are not stupid. The sooner you see that we mean what we say the better off we will all be and the sooner we can get on with the business of running and growing this country.

Make no mistake about it, Obama is in favor of amnesty. Long before he became our inept president he, as an inept senator in Illinois, had made statements favoring making illegal all better with the wave of a pen.
Consider what I think may be possible answers to your question of population increase/decrease.
Obama could give a hoot less about the United States per se and therefore could care less who the country is inhabited by as long as he or his party is in charge of it.
Latino’s have a higher birth rate and a lower rate of abortion. This holds true with Islamic’s also.
There is an excellent, and I think a very pertinent video that will point you and the rest of the Family in the right direction… it’s eye opening and considering Obama’s affection for Muslim’s entirely possible.

I can second that just on personal experience. At the urgings of my Mother I joined AARP because of “all the extra advantages for people our age.” I was not completely sold on the idea in the first place and it didn’t take long to realize AARP was nothing but a proxy insurance salesman constantly trying to get me to buy un-needed insurance. Neither my Mother or me belong to AARP any longer as we have the same excellent co-pay insurance from another source to back up Medicare.
I believe AARP’s original intent of advanced age group insurance coverage was a good idea but, as you say, it turned into “all about the money” as so do so many things including our government. Plus with the gov, this health care is all about the power.
The American Medical Association represents 17% of the total medical profession but when people hear AMA they think of the entire profession in general. But, as the reporter said, even they are seriously divided.
And, OK, what have we got, a few Muslim editors on this site now? The address that I had put in on my last comment to JJ is curiously blank. I still think Obama’s going to have a hard time converting predominately Catholic Mexicans to the Islamic faith. But then again there was Muhammed Ali…

The Hispanics, for the most part are anti-abortion. So the government lets the illegals, for the most part Hispanic, flood the country and keep the population up. The liberals make them citizens and they vote for the party who helped them get citizenship.
The muslim’s plan has always been to build up their population so they can outnumber the rest of us and take over the world. We have a lot more enemies than most people could even imagine. There are so many plots that you can’t begin to know which one to address first.
It’s sad because most people don’t seem to see what is happening, or, if they do, they are afraid to say anything because they will be labeled as racist.

No, no, I didn’t mean Ali as an American basher. What I was referring to was he being black and converting to the religion of Isam. I don’t think this will happen with Mexican or the Latino’s as they are strong of Catholic religion in general. Although Ali never condemned America in foreign countries, he was anti-white, Grade-A, 1st Class, Number-1 Racist!! You may have never seen it, unfortunate, but as I discovered, true. I think Ali was one, if not the, greatest heavyweight fighters in history.

If keeping the population total up by flooding the country with illegal aliens who show no willingness to assimilate to American culture, showing more allegiance to their home countries is this governments idea of keeping the “population up” we are doomed. Literally and totally. Have they not payed any attention to history? This is the same thing that brought down the vast empire of Rome. The division of culture and speech bore dysfunction and hard feelings not only amongst the citizens but reached into the government of the Roman Empire as well.
Apathy and complacency are killing us right now. Too many people of our great nation think that freedom and liberty is a right and not a priviledge. This holds true of so many other entitlements they think they deserve because they are Americans.

I personally have to be careful here, at my age some people look at me as though I have flowers growing out of my ears or they are considering my case of dimentia. However I do not care if someone calls me a “racist”,I will smile, because by all rights I am. The minorties and liberals have made me so. Although should I be called an “infidel”, all hell would break loose. I believe in my Lord and my Creator and I pray ever day for the return of God’s Blessings on our America.

I might be better able to deal with “flowers growing out of my ears”. When I try to explain things to some people, they look at me like I’m crazy or have five or six extra heads. Some of them, however, are starting to acknowledge that what I’ve been telling them is correct. In God’s plan, He opens your eyes when you need to see.
I’ve complained for years, to my so-called representatives and others,that the multi-culturalism was dividing our country, not uniting us as Americans. People like you and I, and the rest of the family, are students of history. Those that fail to learn from the lessons of the past contninue to repeat them and the results are far worse each time.
I do believe God will bless us because we are His people, but, there are going to be trials and tribulations along the way.

Agreed, we must be US citizens first and foremost – our ethnicity should be secondary. Notice how the MSM and the liar in chief are downplaying the fact that the Ft. Hood shooter is a Muslim? And one that associated with radical Muslims ! And now our Sec. of Homeland Security is apologizing to the Muslims, as though the US is the perpetrator. Does she not understand that our citizens and military at Ft. Hood were THE VICTIMS ??
What will be the next evil thing that this admin. will be apologizing to the rest of the world ? Maybe they are ashamed that we have the best health care in the world, and therefore they are going to destroy it. This admin. is fast becoming the laughing stock of the world !

Napolitano probably first ran to the new devout Muslim post holders in Homeland Security to pat them on their towels and calm their fears of any reprisals. That’s right, these good ol’ boys got their jobs when nappy-headed Napolitan and Bamer himself got their pointy little heads together last August 9th. I believe that those who are true to God’s Word and hold close the morals and virtues of conservatism that they will ultimately become victorious in man’s natural desire to be free.
“Trials and tribulations”, you bet, but I think Thomas Paine did an excellent job in saying, “Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men (and women), undergo the fatigues of supporting it.” ~~
So many of those who think freedom is an un-earned, inherited right, an entitlement, is the adversity we face today.
