According to the Associated Press and their headline tonight:
“Report: Bush surveillance program was massive..”
To that I only have one word to say:
GOOD.

If it hadn’t been massive, it probably wouldn’t have done any good!

The massiveness of Bush’s program is a concern only to those who have mischief up their sleeves. They should be more concerned about the invasion of privacy that will be carried out against every citizen under the cover of “greening” America. The Patriot Act didn’t act against me—it acted for me. The plans of the environmental fascists will give the government dominion over my every act.

Larry, Todd, and Margaret,
I agree. Especially, when we realize how many terrorist plots were stopped, and the number that we do not know about ( and should not be revealed for the sake of National Security and the safety of our agents to do their jobs) . Some members in congress think they should have access to top secret documents – these being the same morons that voted for TARP, Stimulus, and other massive wasteful spending legislation , without even reading them. And , in some cases allowing the blanks to be filled-in later !! I have no reason to believe that the CIA, FBI, and our military are out to destroy our country, but I have serious concerns regarding some members of congress, and this admin. , as to what they are doing. Fiscal responsibility is not their forte’, neither are honesty and morality. As long as they have control and the power to do whatever they want, then they are happy.
The liar in chief had a ‘homecoming ‘ in Africa , because he was born there. The Africans know it, but many here will not accept it, especially the MSM !! What a circus. Wonder when the ‘king of the world’ will embark on his next world apology tour. Maybe it is time for him to apolgize to the American people for his massive failure as President. … No, I’m not holding my breath.

Two Words…
“So What?”
The past administration fielded a “secret program” during a time of national crisis in order to keep us safe. If the present administration no longer sees a need, then simply and quietly end it.
During the Civil War the president suspended habeas corpus (3 times!) and during WWII, Japanese Americans were subject to interment. Knowing what we now know with the benefit of hindsight, should we now dig those presidents up from the grave and subject them to trial for crimes against the state?
Methinks the present administration doth protest too much…
One can only guess as to their reasons.

If you don’t have anything to hide, what’s the problem. Sounds like one of their “diversions” to keep people from watching what they’re up to. While the surveillance program may have invaded our privacy somewhat, we weren’t attacked under the past administration’s watch. Let’s see if the chocolate cocoa puff’s luck holds up.

Regardless of the “massiveness” of the surveilance that was done under Bush, it was NOT used against any innocent American citizens. There was NOT ONE report or instance of that happening.
This is just another smoke screen the MSM and th current administration are using to cover up something else they are doing that they don’t want us to know about.
The last time one of these stupid issues was being screamed about, the Fed printed enough money to DOUBLE the monetary supply.
I don’t give a fuzzy rats behind about surveilance 5 years ago… I want to know what they are hiding from us this time.
You can bet your last nickel it is something that will be unconstitutional, and something that puts us anothert step closer to economic collapse and/or soclialism.

I’m with all of you! This administration is doubly stalled. They can’t move forward because they have no idea where they are going and they keeping going back to the past. Leave the past alone and tell us what is going on right now instead of your Dem Dreams.

Bush will be dead and in his grave and dems will still be holding investigations. Thank God he was President at 9/11 instead of Obama. Obama would have talked nicey-nice and apologized to the rotten terrorists.
Perhaps it would be a worthwhile venture to lay it all out for all to see. I bet people won’t sleep well after that expose’. Maybe they would shut their mouths and leave Bush alone!
