I have for YEARS said that the way to get to the fascists in Iran is by utilizing the same group that “energized” the 1979 Carter Revolution within that former ally. The young.
I believe that over 55% of the Iranian population are less than 40 years of age. THESE are the ones who are now clamoring for their voices to be heard. We should be doing more than “listening”..
I have also for years advocated the institution of a “Radio Free Iran”. If such a program ISN’T in place, it is a crime. These people want their country back. We should assist them in any way possible. We do not need to “physically” be there but we need to assist these “freedom fighters” as much as possible. When the liberals talk about “freedom fighters” they are always referring to terrorists. They use this term when they forget to use “insurgent” or some other language softeners to describe their heroes.
With every demonstration in foreign lands, the signs of protest regardless of topic are always in English. The media is generally more enthusiastic about covering these types of rallies in the Middle East when the back story is some type of fabrication about flushed Korans or the like, but they can’t ignore this one..
This is a cry to the West and with Obama and his “meddling” comment of a few days back, an “opportunity” (which is something the liberals constantly refer to when they are about to implement another round of fascism here in America or when they wish to cover up another of their monumental mistakes..) has arisen that might make the “hard line” regime succumb. Remember that Obama had no problem “meddling” in the affairs of the Middle East as the target of his diatribe was an American ally, Israel. As a result the Israelis continued to build their “Obama huts”. (See “The Wizard of Oz Tehonatan” 06/05/09)
After walking to the wrong podium by cutting in front of the South Korean President on Tuesday, Obama said, “It’s not productive, given the history of U.S.-Iranian relations, to be seen as meddling, the U.S. president meddling in Iranian elections..” The ridiculously clumsy English usage aside, exactly what “history” is he referring to and when has “meddling” become verboten within the Obama caliphate??
“Meddling” is what liberal politics is all about. If Obama sees no need to “meddle” in Iran, why did he “meddle” in the affairs of Israel on June 3rd while genuflecting before the Muslim/Palestinian “community” during his speech in Cairo?
If the “U.S. president” is concerned about dirtying his hands over this kind of “meddling”, he should just leave this type of “work” to the “experts” in the CIA for example..
Obama can crow about his “opportunities” here in America, but this “opportunity” properly cultivated, could possibly undo the damage done thirty years ago by his political mentor Dhimmi Carter..
The world awaits.

Larry:
“Launched in 2003 as the successor to RFE/RL’s Persian Service, Radio Farda provides objective and accurate news and information to counter state censorship and ideology-based media coverage. Radio Farda’s new website was launched in 2006 and receives over 3 million page views every month. ”
(This is part of Radio Free Europe/RadioLiberty.)
Currently “Iranian demonstrators who allege vote-count fraud in the reelection of President Mahmud Ahmadinejad are using Internet media to stay ahead of government censors. And some young Iranians are taking the battle further, launching their own cyberattacks against government websites”
The revoluntion in Iran is under way. We need to jump-start our own.

The only reason Obama doesn’t want to “meddle” in Iran’s election is because he wants to see how the Mad Arab puts down this up-rising of The People! This is so he can adapt that strategy here, when the rest of our country finally wakes up and smells the $hit piled on what used to be our laws!

Ladywolf,
I was hoping that there was something out there.. Thanks for clueing me in.
These are the kinds of people our “leader” should be “empowering”.
This is a grand “opportunity”, if we aren’t “meddling” here, then the left had better not even talk about Darfur to me..
Thanks as always,
Larry

Dhimmi Carter, genius!
Isn’t it amazing how Liberals never take responsibilty for the conseqequences of their action and policies. Dhimmi singlehandedly (with some help from Brezinski) laid the foundation for Al Queada when he withdrew support from the Shah and allowed (some might say “invited”) Khoumeni to form a theocratic republic run by theocrats enforcing Sharia law upon this once prosperous and Westernized nation.
By the way Barney we’re still waiting for you to own up to your creation of the real estate Ponzi Scheme you set in motion that has engulfed and ruined a once great nation.

Vincent,
First off, thanks for the kind words.
Next, of all of the disgraceful things Carter did and didn’t do, the “Iranian Revolution” is without question his most dispicable. Allowing American citizens to held for 444 days, only to see them released on the day of President Reagan’s inagural is either cowardice or incompetence or complicity.
All that said, Obama in just four months still has the capacity to make some say, “Carter wasn’t so bad, was he?”
Barney and his “boys” will never be called out until the Obama agony ends.
Think 2010, never give up, never give in and never again.

If we meddle in Middle East affairs, our enemies prepare for war. If we don’t meddle, our enemies prepare for war. Might as well meddle, and blow away a few nuclear facilities while we’re at it.
Off to Switzerland today to visit my stepdaughter’s in-laws for a short while. Apparently everyone in Switz. either thinks that Obama is the socialist messiah or that we have drunk the Kool Aid and are following him like sheep to our doom. They are about to meet three people ( my stepdaughter, son-in-law, and me) who aren’t doomed, haven’t had Kool Aid since they were kids, and do not regard BHO as a deity. It should make for a good exercise.

France has had more say in backing the suppressed protesters over their theocratic thug government, and they haven’t printed on a white flag either.
Our mumbling, non-meddling president doesn’t want to interfere with democracy in foreign countries, after-all, he’s to busy meddling with it’s destruction here.

How ironic. Othere countries are fighting for freedom, and we are allowing ours to be diminished , and maybe even lost, due to the “Liar in Chief” ! I could understand , to some extent, how Hitler did what he wanted, but now in this electronic age, HOW can it be happening to us? Many countries looked up to us, and wanted to emulate our way of life. But, look what has happened to us in just a few months.

JJ,
Think in two different times frames. One in which the people were educated, self-assured, self challenging and moral compared to one in which the people have been steadily dumbned-down educationally, are self-disputable and listless.
Hitler had the “radio” age, while we have the satellite and internet age. Yet Hitler’s quote, “Tell a lie, tell it often enough and the whole world will believe” still rings true among those today that have blinded themselves to the world’s history. Even with a more “enlightened” culture, and with Hitler only being enabled to reach a limited number with his constant lies, he had “success” in obtaining the facist brutalities of Nazi Germany.
Is there another reason the disinterested, unknowing of today would follow anyone but “The Liar In Chief?”

Joe,
Agreed, but I guess I was thinking more about the “freedom of speech and expression” , especially in the communications area : TV, internet, cell phones, twitter, public assembly, press briefings, political commentary, et al.
But,with so much info. available , and in spite of it, this country is on a downward spiral. It is hard to believe what is happening to this ‘once great ‘ country – and it is very sad !

Larry and Family;
It looks like the DOD is concerned about us ‘dangerous citizens’ who are ‘repeating the very phrases Founding Fathers used’.
Not only are we “right wing extremists” but now we are ‘dangerous citizens’ and “low-level terrorists”.
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=101473
According to Dennis Loo, “The Department of Defense is training all of its personnel in its current Antiterrorism and Force Protection Annual Refresher Training Course that political protest is “low-level terrorism.”

I didn’t think it was “politically correct to label people. But, again, the liberals follow their own rule of “Do as I say, not asI do.”
I’m rather proud of being considered dangerous, aren’t you?
