Barack Obama and Joe Biden win the election. The mid-term election will be in 2010. Will we make there in one piece? Will we recognize the America that they will be giving us? Will there be enough that we can somehow salvage and resuscitate?
Isn’t that enough to make you vote McCain/Palin?

Here’s what I told my son and daughter: “We gave you this great country, now the choice is yours , you can preserve it, make it better or you can destroy it, do with it what you will. You and your children will reap the rewards or suffer the consequences.”
Now I regret that in a sense I gave them license to vote for BHO rather than making sure they were making an educated decision.
I had a fleeting thought some time ago that went something like this, “Maybe getting BHO as President with a Democratic controlled Congress would be a good thing. The country would learn once and for all that their ideas are hollow and bankrupt and we’d be rid of liberals for the foreseeable future”. But the sobering downside is that in today’s world, they could bankrupt us pretty quickly, get two liberal Supreme Court justices ensconced for life, change the moral character of this country and most dangerous of all our mortal enemies would seize the moment sensing our weakness and some cities would be simultaneously attacked by Islamacist fanatics and millions of Americans would die. So I gave up that thought pretty quickly.
You’re right as usual, it’s more than enough to make me vote for McCain & Palin.

Vincent,
We would like to hope that their destructive nature wasn’t intentional..
Intentional or unintentional, it’s destructive just the same..
Thanks as always,
Larry

It would not only be Obama and Biden I question but the clear and present danger of the Democrat majority controlled Congress. Two years ago when campaigning to gain control for the Democrats in Congress, Pull The Plug Pelosi said, “Vote for us and we’ll lower fuel prices.” Uh, yeh. I guess we can just chalk that up to campaign promises, eh Nan?
Unless the majority of the American people are made up of those that enjoy having the government helping itself to more of your paycheck than you yourself recieve and largessly distributing the money to those who’d irresponsibly rather sit on their butt having their “life” bought for them.
They may be one of the so called “silent-majority” one hears mentioned so often but rarely, if at all, sees in action. Those who would sit and gripe or give opinions about the issues but never go so far as to actually act upon them. Phoning, e-mailing or faxing their elected representatives on an issues would simply be to much trouble.
There are also the “Oh, well” folks, who could care less about what government is doing to them and our country. This type of person has the same worth to our nation as trying to sell prefabricated postholes.
But even with all this, I don’t believe that this country can be taken so far down a destructive path without it’s citizens rebelling. No matter what race, special interests, party affiliation or anything else that concerns them privately, the people, if nothing short of anarchy would demand, oversee and get a smaller non-intrusive government on their daily lives.
THE DAY WE LOSE OUR WILL TO FIGHT IS THE DAY WE LOSE OUR FREEDOM!!!

Your reply reminds me of a sign off comment a friend sent me “Vote for McCain, if he ruins our country at least it won’t be on purpose”. I liked it so much I had bumper stickers printed out and sent them to my like minded friends.

On OCT 26TH we will celebrate our 50TH wedding anniversary. Just about one week before the election.
The greatest gift we could receive
would be the election of MCCAIN/PALIN TO THE WHITE HOUSE
The gathering of over 100 people will
give me an oppotunity to express my support for that ticket and I know I
will get the floor.
It is beyond me how anyone could vote for the big O.
As a Korean Veteran I strongly request that all veterans get out and vote for MAC

One thing I forgot to add. Democrats, as we know, use the race issue to their advantage.
Within these past years since illegal alien immigaration has become a problem, liberals have done nothing except avert the issue.
For legal, working immigration, there is legislation now before the Congress that will add 500 thousand more permant green cards on top of the already 1 (one) million allowed into this country each year. This is during a time when our un-employment percentage is at an historical all time high. This is not representation!
What better way for the Democrats to gain power over what will made into no more than a socialistic country, than have masses who have allegiance to them and not a country.
Bi-lingual, multicultered societies of the past were torn apart because of the tensions it caused within them. One only needs look to the Roman Empire for an example.

I agree, it doesn’t matter whether Obama and Biden intend to be destructive or not, they inherently are.
In my humble opinion, the reason is obvious. They lack–the entire leftist (not liberal, but anti-liberty) movement structurally lacks–the fear of G-d. Withough the awareness of G-d and the absolute morality imposed by His command, one becomes unbalanced, subject to every whim and fad.
Consider Gen. 20. Abraham and Sarah travel to Gaza, then under Philistine rule, where Abraham is worried that the Philistines will kill him to seize his wife. So, he tells them that she’s his sister, and she is immediately taken to the king’s palace to serve as a…
G-d intervenes, informs Abimelech, the Philistine king, that Sarah is off-limits, and he returns her to her husband’s home.
Here comes the key line. When Abimelech asked Abraham why he said what he said, Abraham doesn’t give a detailed analysis of Philistine society, no careful balancing of various societal factors. He responds (verse 11) “Because I said, there is just no fear of G-d in this place, and they will kill me for my wife.”
What we’re being taught here is simple; to the extent that we have fear of Him and knowledge of His word, we can get through this world correctly. If we lack either one of these two, we can and will justify everything to ourselves, up to and including murdering a man to seize his wife.
The Republicans are not perfect. Far from it. But they, as a group, have more fear of G-d than the Democrats, and to me, that’s reason enough to work for the Republican ticket at all levels and vote Republican in November.
